Cub Scout activities are centered around earning badges that are specific to each school grade level. This badge represents a rank. Advancement refers to the progress a Cub Scout makes toward their badge of rank. All of the activities for each rank are in the Cub Scout handbooks.

Our Pack is made up of the following Dens:

For each Den, to earn the Badge of Rank, you must complete six required Adventures and any two elective Adventures.

Adventures
Cub Scouts earn Adventures that are specific to their grade and rank. There are required and elective adventures. A number of Adventures must be completed to earn the badge of rank for each grade level. The Bobcat Adventure is designed to be the first required adventure earned. All the other Adventures may be earned in any order. Completion of adventures is how the aims of Character & Leadership, Citizenship, Family & Reverence, Outdoors, Personal Fitness, Personal Safety are developed. Once an adventure is completed, a Cub Scout receives recognition in the form of an adventure loop or adventure pin at a Pack meeting.
Ranks
Scouting utilizes an advancement system that requires a scout to “do their best” to fulfill and complete the requirements outlined in their handbook so that they may earn their rank badge. Once earned, the Rank Badge is displayed on their scout uniform shirt as long as they are in Cub Scouts per the uniform guidelines.
Rank Advancement
This is a major award ceremony for a major accomplishment. Rank awards are distributed by the Pack once a year according to a set schedule. A Scout, along with their Den and parent(s) are responsible for completing all the requirements of advancement by the target date. All of the information and requirements are included in the rank handbook.
