2023 ARROW OF LIGHT CEREMONY

The Arrow of Light is the highest rank in Cub Scouting. The Arrow of Light Badge displays an American Indian sign for the sun and arrow.  The seven rays of the sun stand for doing a good turn each day. They remind you to do your best everyday as you follow the arrow that leads you to Boy Scouting.  It is the only Cub scout badge that you can wear on your Boy Scout uniform.

On April 1, 2023, Cub Scout Pack 840 honored Webelos Scouts who had earned the Arrow of Light rank. Webelos has a wonderful meaning -We’ll Be Loyal Scouts. These AOL scouts and their den leader worked hard (and had lots of fun too) getting to this rank.  These scouts received their Arrow of Light Badge, which is the highest rank a Cub Scout can reach.  Each scout was also given an arrow that showed all they had accomplished in their Cub Scouting career and enjoyed a slideshow that showcased the scouts on this amazing journey!

As the scouts lined up with their parents behind them.  Parents were instructed to remove the Cub Scout neckerchief and epaulets to prepare them for their new journey. 

They even constructed their own bridge
to crossover from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts

The next steps they must take on their own, one by one the scout’s name was called, one of the Boy Scouts looked them up and down, gave them a Boy Scout handshake, and motioned them to cross the bridge. On the other side, more Boy Scouts were waiting to welcome them to their Troop.
